Dry Flush packaging toilets use a patented design to wisk the waste away in a sealed bag, leaving behind a fresh bowl. With no mess, odor, or chemicals, Dry Flush toilets are easy to clean and can be used just about anywhere!
INCLUDED with your first toilet:
Two flush cartridges (approx. 30 flushes)
Dry Flush toilets come with a 1-year factory warranty and usually ship within four to five business days.
Dry Flush works with a continuous bag held in a special dispenser just under the seat. In this completely waterless process, there are 15 or more consecutive “flushes” in each refill cartridge.
You use the Dry Flush just like a regular toilet. Pushing the flush button after each use whisks waste out of sight, sealing it in an airtight plastic bag. The next user is presented with a clean and fresh toilet bowl.
The proprietary bagging design seals waste so effectively that no odor will escape for three weeks or more. Waste is contained by a triple barrier system: The vacuum-sealed portions accumulate in molded drum-like container that is lined with an industrial strength liner bag. If toilet tips over, waste is still securely contained.
You can leave waste in the Dry Flush for three weeks or more without odor escaping. When you have depleted the refill or want to discard waste, lift the toilet seat and the trim piece to expose a black bag containing the wrapped waste. You will never see or smell waste at any time. Remove the black bag from the drum-like container below. Seal it with a bag tie and discard in the trash. Everything that has touched waste is discarded. Clean the exposed surfaces and you’re done.
What happens when the cartridge runs out?
A red line appears on the material that lets you know that the cartridge has about two more flushes and you should change the cartridge. If you ignore the indicator, the material will run out in the next flush or two, and the top edge of the material will be visible.
What about freezing?
No water means that the unit is immune to freezing temperatures. The battery is good down to at least -20°F (-30°C) depending upon charge condition. Waste will freeze, but that causes no issues.
How much weight can the unit hold?
It has been tested to 500 lbs without appreciable deformation.
Is it legal to dump human waste in landfills?
Yes! All landfills accept human waste to accommodate baby and adult diapers. Standard regulations require that waste be contained in plastic bags.
Why is there no odor?
The best thing about Dry Flush! Over two years in development, Dry Flush’s proprietary barrier material completely isolates waste and odor. Once the toilet is flushed you will never see it again.
Furthermore, when the unit is emptied, it’s really empty. There is nothing to create a cumulative or lingering “dirty toilet” odor. All surfaces that come in contact with waste are discarded in the double-layered barrier bag.
How long does the battery last?
The battery will last for several months, depending upon weather and for approximately 300+ flushes before charging is needed. (Note: do not leave your battery charging continuously as this will reduce its life.)
**The one exception to this battery life is if a 'dirty power' source (such as a generator) is used. In that case, we cannot guarantee the battery life
How do I clean the Dry Flush?
Just wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. There is no holding tank to clean. All surfaces that contact waste are discarded when you change refills.
